Olive

Systematic olive cultivation started in Kythera during the English domination. Until today it is the most important cultivation of the island in financial aspect. The most important variety cultivated in the island is koroneiki. Olive oil’s low acidity and its exquisite organoleptic characteristics rank Kythera oil among the perfect Greek olive oils.

Collection: Fruits are collected in autumn. Olive leaves are also useful.
