Here are some of just a few reasons why natural toothpaste is better:
- No Artificial Preservatives

- Natural Mineral Zinc naturally inhibits the growth of bacteria that cause gum disease.
- Natural toothpaste usually contains utilized pharmaceutical grade water, created by de-ionized reverse osmosis, to ensure purity and quality.
- Natural toothpaste is known for being a natural whitening toothpaste without harsh abrasives that erode enamel.
- Black seed oil, known for its health benefits for over 3,000 years, is used in some natural toothpaste and can help other natural ingredients like zinc cling to teeth and gums longer further increasing it’s germ fighting capabilities.
- Natural toothpaste can reduce your body's exposure to toxins greatly lowering your risk of Toxin Overload.

When our pets are exposed to dangerous toxins, their little bodies have to work extremely hard to eliminate them. Our pets don't have the ability to talk and let us know when something in their food or the environment is making them sick. They also don't have the ability to switch their own food or decide when it's time to stop using a household cleaner that irritates their sinuses or lungs. Since we as humans are 100% in control of our pets environment, they rely solely on us to reduce the toxins they are exposed to.
Toxins can cause, worsen or accelerate any existing health problem that our pets may have. But many toxins that negatively effect our pets' health are hidden, and we may be unknowingly contributing to the load of toxins that are already in our pets bodies. While toxins are bad for us humans, they are just as devastating to our pets health.
How do toxins enter your dog's body?
There are many ways that toxins can enter into your dog's body. Some toxins enter through accidental ingestion while others are unknowingly directly given to pets. Outdoor toxins like weed killers, pesticides and automotive exhaust can enter our dog's bodies just by breathing them in. They can eat chemical-laden grass, lick dust or residue off their paws or fur and absorb them like that. Then there's cleaners, air fresheners, laundry products and other chemicals used in the household. Last but not least, toxins can be ingested through your pet's drinking water, commercial food, treats, and through over-the-counter or prescription medications they take. The toxin Glyphosate which is a widely used weed killer, can be found in your pets bones, as well as the bones of the food processing animals eating genetically modified (GMO) grains that dogs chew on.
Some common signs of toxicity:
- Abnormal gait and stance
- Excessive itching
- Decreased activity
- Loss of body weight and food consumption
- Vomiting, diarrhea and bloody stools
- Excessive shedding and skin changes
- Uneven balance, loss of balance and repetitive movements
- Dark urine
- Pale gums
Tips for detoxing your dog
• Avoid chemicals and toxins that are commonly found in many lawn care supplies, household cleaners, laundry detergent, insect repellents and body/pet care products.
• Be diligent in sourcing clean, unprocessed food.
• Avoid unsafe and unnecessary vaccinations and drugs that can lower the immune system.
• Spend time outdoors in the sunshine. Take your pup for a walk or outside to play ball.
• Make sure your dog gets exercise so the lymphatic system can work and purge spent mitochondria.
• Incorporate beneficial bugs in your dog's meals through prebiotics, probiotics and enzymes.
• Milk Thistle will help with the detoxing process. The usual recommended extract of milk thistle contains 70 to 80 percent silymarin, which can be found on the label. You can administer the tincture at a starting dose of 1/4 tsp per 20 pounds of body weight, per day. Always read labels carefully, and consult with your holistic veterinarian before adding milk thistle to your pups detoxing regimen.
• Provide clean, filtered water. Mountain spring water is ideal.
Boost intake of beneficial nutrients.
When detoxing your dog, it's important to boost your dogs intake of beneficial nutrients. When buying foods to feed your dog, try to buy USDA Certified Organic foods. Good nutrient sources to add to dog's meals include:
1. Vitamin A: liver, yellow and orange fruits and vegetables, dark leafy greens and eggs.
2. Vitamin B: liver and venison.
3. Vitamin C: berries, citrus and red bell peppers.
4. Vitamin D: liver, eggs, oily fish like sardines, mackerel and salmon
5. Vitamin E: grains, seeds, seed oils and wheat germ oil.
6. Magnesium: dark leafy greens, seeds, and fish.
7. Selenium: oily fish, grass-fed beef, beef liver, free-range chicken, and eggs.
8. Turmeric: give one-eighth to one-quarter teaspoon per 10 pounds of body weight per day. Turmeric can be combined with a healthy fat like coconut oil and some freshly ground black pepper for better absorption or added as a topper mixed into your dogs food.
9. Apple Cider Vinegar will help with the detoxing process. When used over a length of time, your dog will be less likely to develop infections and it will also help protect your pup from fleas and worms. If you're looking to add Apple Cider Vinegar to your dog's diet for detoxing or for regular use, we highly recommend using Flea Free Food Supplement. It helps with detoxing and will boost the immune system while protecting your pets from biting insects and internal parasites.
9. Zinc: red meat and poultry.
Kidneys play a role in flushing out toxins.
The liver filters toxins from the bloodstream, but its your pups kidneys that excrete them from the body. Without the kidneys and it's role in the body, your pups wouldn't be able to effectively eliminate the toxins it's exposed to.
Adding natural herbs like parsley and cilantro to your pups diet will help the kidneys role in the detoxing process. Another way to support the kidney's role in the detoxing process is to make sure your pup has plenty of water, preferably filtered or spring water.
Eliminate toxin exposures in your dogs environment.
Overall, the best way to limit your pets exposure is being aware of the potential toxic exposures and risks around your house, yard and in the foods and medications they take. Sometimes it's hard to identify the source, but limiting exposure cuts off the chance for all future exposures.
If you're eliminating things that your dog can be exposed to, it's important to limit those things in your life too. For example, if you're switching to a natural laundry soap to clean your dogs bedding, it's important to use natural laundry soap for your bedding and clothes too. Another example would be to use all natural bug repellents on your pets and on yourself too. Think about it like this, everything that you are exposed to, your pets are exposed to as well and humans need detoxing as much as our pets need detoxing.
Consult your veterinarian if any changes become severe.
As your dog's body is going through the process of detoxification, you may notice some physical changes in your dog. For example, your pup may develop symptoms like a runny nose or changes in bowel function or appetite. Such symptoms are healthy signs and are temporary. They should subside in a few days. But if any physical signs become worrisome or are severe, stop everything and consult with a holistic veterinarian for appropriate guidance.

With many different soap options available on the market, it can be difficult to know which one is best for your skin. One issue is that most commercially made soaps aren’t actually real soap. According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), only a few soaps on the market are true soaps, while the majority of cleansers are synthetic detergent products. So if you're looking for true soap, natural soap is the way to go. But which natural soap is best for you?
Today we're going to focus on the benefits of goat milk soap. But what exactly are the benefits of goat milk soap? We're going to break it all down for you and let you decide for yourself if goat milk soap will benefit your skin!
What Is Goat Milk Soap?
Goat milk soap is exactly what it sounds like, it's soap made from goats milk. Recently goat milk soap is gaining popularity, but using goat milk for cosmetics and soaps actually stems back thousands of years.
Goat milk is rich in both saturated and unsaturated fats, making it ideal for soap making. Saturated fats increase a soap’s lather — or production of bubbles — while unsaturated fats provide moisturizing and nourishing properties.
Other plant-based oils like olive or coconut oil can be used in goat milk soap which further increases the content of healthy, nourishing fats.
What Are The Benefits Of Goat Milk Soap?
1. Goat milk soap can help prevent acne
Due to its lactic acid content, goat milk soap can help control or prevent acne. Lactic acid is a natural exfoliant that gently removes dead skin cells, which in return helps prevent acne by keeping pores clear of dirt, oil, and excess sebum.
Unlike many face cleansers that contain harsh synthetic ingredients that have the potential to dry out your skin, leading to excess oil production and clogged pores. Goat milk soap is gentle and can help maintain your skin’s moisture.
2. Goat milk soap gently cleanses your skin
As you know, most commercially made soaps contain harsh ingredients that can strip your skin of it's natural moisture and oils, leaving your skin feeling dry and tight. To maintain your skin’s natural moisture, it’s best to use products that don’t remove the natural fats in the skin barrier.
Goat milk soap contains high amounts of fats, particularly caprylic acid, allowing for gentle removal of dirt and bacteria without removing your skin’s natural fatty acids.
3. Goat milk soap naturally exfoliates your skin
Goat milk soap contains alpha-hydroxy acids that will help naturally exfoliate your skin. Alpha-hydroxy acids are used to treat a variety of skin conditions, such as scars, age spots, and hyperpigmentation, because of it's amazing ability to naturally exfoliate.
Lactic acid, a naturally occurring alpha-hydroxy acid found in goat milk soap, has been shown to gently remove the top layer of dead skin cells to expose a more youthful complexion. It's known as one of the gentlest alpha-hydroxy acids, which makes it one of the best options for people with sensitive skin!
4. Goat milk soap can improve dry skin
Dry skin is a condition caused by low water levels in the skin. Your skin’s lipid barrier slows moisture loss, but low lipid levels can lead to moisture loss and leave you with dry, irritated, and tight skin. People with skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema, often have lower levels of lipids such as cholesterol, ceramides, and fatty acids, in the skin.
To improve dry skin, the skin's lipid barrier must be restored and rehydrated. Goat milk soap contains high amounts of cholesterol and fatty acids that will help replace those missing fats, while also providing moisture to allow for better water retention.
Using harsh synthetic soaps strip your skin of its natural moisture, which will worsen dry skin and skin conditions. Using gentle soaps rich in fats like goat milk soap, will help replenish your skin’s moisture.
5. Goat milk soap contains rich beneficial nutrients
Goat milk is rich in fatty acids and cholesterol, which make up a large portion of your skin's membrane. When your skin lacks these beneficial nutrients, it can lead to dryness and irritation.
Goat milk contains a good amount of vitamin A, a fat-soluble vitamin which has shown to have anti-aging properties. It also contains a good amount of selenium, a mineral that's shown to support a healthy skin membrane and has helped improve psoriasis symptoms like dry skin.
5. Goat milk soap supports a healthy skin microbiome
Goat milk soap helps support a healthy skin microbiome, which is the collection of healthy bacteria on your skin’s surface.
Since goat milk soap gently exfoliates your skin, it wont strip your skin of it's natural lipids or healthy bacteria. Maintaining your skin’s microbiome is extremely important because it creates barrier against pathogens, potentially preventing various skin disorders like acne and eczema.
Another benefit is that goat milk contains beneficial probiotics like Lactobacillus, which is responsible for producing lactic acid and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in the body, including the skin.
Goat milk soap is a traditional soap that's extremely gentle on your skin and contains many amazing benefits. Its extremely beneficial for skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and dry skin, as it keeps skin nourished and hydrated thanks to its non-stripping properties. Plus it helps promote youthful and acne-free skin due to its content of exfoliating lactic acid.
Goat milk has been used in cosmetics, lotions and soaps dating back thousands of years! So if you’re looking for a soap that isn’t harsh and keeps your skin healthy, goat milk soap may be worth a try!

Coconut oil is becoming widely popular because of it's many health benefits. Studies find that coconut oil helps blast away belly fat, curbs appetite, strengthens the immune system, prevents heart disease, and starves off dementia and Alzheimer’s disease for humans. But what about the benefits of coconut oil for dogs?
What are the benefits of coconut oil for dogs?
1. Coconut Oil Improves Your Dog's Skin & Coat
Coconut oil is one of those essential items for those pesky skin conditions that may arise. If your dog has patches of dry and itchy skin, coconut oil can be used topically on your dog's skin & coat and is actually an ingredient in many paw balms, hot spot treatments and dog shampoos.
Studies found that using virgin coconut oil on dry and itchy skin, will hydrate your dog's skin and improve dandruff when used topically as a moisturizer. Plus, adding coconut oil to your dog's diet will give you similar results as adding fish oil to their food, it helps keep your dog's coat shiny and soft!
2. Coconut oil helps Disinfect and Soothe Wounds
Studies found that a combination of lauric acid and capric acid, both of which are present in coconut oil, are extremely effective at killing specific bacteria that causes skin issues. Since coconut oil naturally contains antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal properties, it can be used topically on your pup to help heal cuts, wounds, and will help moisturize dry, cracked and sore paw pads.
Unlike chemical-based products, coconut oil is completely safe for dogs if ingested! Dogs are known to lick themselves, their paws and their open wounds. So when using coconut oil on dogs that likes to lick themselves, you won't have to worry if what their ingesting is harmful.
3. Coconut Oil Helps to Repel Ticks, Fleas & Parasites
This study found that the fatty acids in coconut oil provided protection against several parasites for up to 7 days, and brown dog ticks had repellency from 84% up to 88%. In addition to that, coconut oil was found to be an effective repellent against stable flies and other blood-sucking insects such as horn flies, bed bugs, and lone star ticks.
Coconut oil can successfully be used a natural and non-toxic alternative to chemical repellents. The fat in the oil coats the exoskeleton of parasites which essentially limits their mobility and suffocates them. When taking your dog camping or going for a hike in the woods, consider rubbing coconut oil on their coat to help repel fleas, mites, and ticks. Simply rub the oil between your hands and apply it throughout their coat, working it down to the skin.
If your dog is infested with fleas, coconut oil can be used as a natural flea dip. Put your dog into the bath and apply the coconut oil throughout your dogs entire coat. The coconut oil will naturally melt with the heat of your hands and your dogs skin (DO NOT melt the coconut oil in the microwave, it will strip out all of the good beneficial nutrients). Once you have applied the coconut oil, those pesky fleas will die within minutes. You can then use a flea comb to comb out the dead fleas and flea eggs, rinse your dog off with warm water and then dry with a towel. The coconut oil that's left over on your dogs skin & coat will help soothe and heal the flea bites on your dogs skin, plus help repel other fleas.
4. Coconut Oil Helps Treat Various Skin Conditions in Dogs
Many studies have found that coconut oil fights the negative effects of eczema, a skin condition that causes itchiness, rashes and scaly skin in dogs. Because of of it's anti-bacterial properties, coconut oil is able to reduce inflammation and reduces the chance of developing skin conditions like eczema, crusty scabs, atopic dermatitis, acne and other skin conditions. Again, most of this is because of the lauric acid content in coconut oil.
5. Coconut Oil Helps Improves Brain Function
A study published in 2010, found that coconut oil's medium-chain triglycerides have long-lasting improved cognition effects on aging dogs. Coconut oil was shown to boost brain function in aging dogs by providing energy in the form of ketones. As your dog gets older, this natural source of energy promotes a healthy and active mind to help keep their brain functions young and even prevent dementia.
6. Coconut Oil Boosts the Immune System and Digestive Health
Coconut oil's antiviral and antibacterial properties can help prevent infection and disease as well as help promote good thyroid function. When fed orally, coconut oil helps improve digestion, helps relieve the symptoms of colitis and other inflammatory bowel disorders, plus it aids in overall nutrient absorption.
7. Coconut Oil Promotes Good Dental Health
Did you know that coconut oil can also be used as a natural toothpaste for your dog? That's right! Brushing your dog's teeth with coconut oil helps maintain your dog's dental health, combat gum disease, and diminish bad breath. The lauric acid in coconut oil kills the bacteria that causes tooth decay and stinky breath in your dog’s mouth.
6. Coconut Oil Reduces Skin Inflammation
There are a number of skin conditions in dogs that cause skin inflammation. Since coconut oil contains anti-inflammatory properties, it can help relieve pain associated with skin conditions. In a study using different oils (coconut, sunflower, olive oil), scientists found that coconut oil was the only one that effectively improved levels of antioxidants, prevented oxidative stress, and eased inflammation.
How to Use Coconut Oil for Dogs
Coconut oil can be given to your dogs orally or applied topically. Including coconut oil in your dog’s diet can improve their health in general but for the best results regarding skin and coat health, coconut oil should also be used topically.
The amount of coconut oil to give a dog depends on their size, but if you're just starting out, begin with a very small amount. Small dogs and puppies should start out with 1/4 teaspoon while larger dogs should start out with 1 teaspoon, per day with their dog food.
After the initial introduction of coconut oil into their diet, the general rule of thumb is to give them 1 teaspoon per 10 pounds of body weight. Though coconut oil helps with many aspects of your dog's health, too much can be dangerous for overweight dogs, due to its high-fat content. So make sure to consult with your dog's veterinarian before adding anything new to your dogs diet.
What's the best kind of coconut oil to give dogs?
Organic, extra-virgin coconut oil or cold-pressed coconut oil is best. Try to avoid using refined coconut oil. During the manufacturing process of refined coconut oil, it strips and removes all of the therapeutic & nutritional values that are naturally found coconuts.
The component in coconut oil that makes it so beneficial for dogs is its medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs). These MCFAs contain 48% lauric acid, 8% caprylic acid, and 7% capric acid, as well as myristic and palmitic acids. All of these acids work hard to naturally tackle issues like bad breath, weight gain, infection, dry skin, cuts, digestive issues and so much more! If you've never looked at the ingredients in products before, you'd be surprised to find out how many natural products for dogs and humans contain coconut oil as an ingredient!

It seems like everyone is talking about eating organic these days... But what exactly are the health benefits of eating organic? Some eat organic foods because it’s better for the environment and some do it for health-related reasons. Why is eating organic a smarter choice for the environment and our health? If you're choosing to buy healthier foods, we encourage you to take a look at some of the science-backed benefits of eating organic.
Organic food reduces our exposure to chemicals.
Foods labeled as organic are grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or artificial fertilizers. While these chemicals have been deemed safe in the quantities that are used for conventional farming, health experts still warn about the potential harms of repeated exposure. A study published by Environmental Research found that families who switched to eating a completely organic diet, after 6 days, had reduced traces of pesticides in their system by an average of 60 percent.
For example, Monsanto's well-known herbicide Roundup has been classified as a "probable human carcinogen" and the insecticide chlorpyrifos has been associated with developmental delay in infants. Studies have also suggested that pesticide residues, found in the urine of kids in the United States, may contribute to ADHD prevalence, and has also been linked to reduced sperm quality in men. Unfortunately, many people and parents are unaware of the potential risks we take exposure ourselves and our families to foods that can actually contribute to potentially harmful toxin overload.
Organic food has more healthy fats.
The omega-3 fatty acids in organic meat are shown to be significantly higher than conventional meat. Organic milk and meat products are shown to have about 50% more omega-3 fatty acids, than conventionally produced products, according to a 2016 study in the British Journal of Nutrition. The organic milk tested in this particular study also had less saturated fat than non-organic milk.
These differences may come from the way organic livestock is raised, using a grass-fed diet and more time spent outdoors. It's believed that switching from conventional to organic products would raise consumers’ omega-3 intake without increasing overall calories or saturated fat.
Organic food contains no antibiotics or synthetic hormones.
Conventional livestock are fed antibiotics to protect against illness, making it easier for farmers to raise animals in crowded and unsanitary conditions. Also, (except poultry) conventionally raised animals can also be injected with synthetic growth hormones, so they’ll gain weight faster or produce more milk. Organic meat and dairy are all raised without the use of hormones, whereas, conventionally raised animals are typically given hormones to produce faster growth.
Organic food is GMO-free
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), organic products are prohibited from having genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Organic food is GMO-free, which means that the organisms were not genetically engineered or modified in any way (usually done to make them grow faster or bigger).
Organic food can lead to more nutritious or vitamin-enriched fruits and vegetables.
According to a 2017 study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, researchers found that organic onions have about a 20% higher antioxidant content than non-organic onions. When crops are sprayed with pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides, the critical microbes in our soils get destroyed! Without synthetic chemicals in the soil, organic crops are able to extract the healthy minerals and nutrients they need from the ground, leading to more vitamin-rich food.
Organic food is better for the environment.
Organic farming reduces pollution, conserves water, reduces soil erosion, increases soil fertility, and uses less energy overall. Farming without pesticides is better for the health of the animals, the farmers and the people who live close to the farms, as it reduces their exposure to those chemicals.
How to tell if your food is organic.
Always look for the USDA Certified Organic label on your foods. Don’t be fooled by terms using words like “natural” or “made with real fruit” or “reduced sugar” when buying packaged foods. Food companies can put a lot of words and imagery on their packaging to make it seem healthier, when in reality it might not be.
To be labeled as “Organic", according to the USDA a food product has to contain at least 95% organic ingredients. And if an item says “Made with Organic,” that means it contains at least 70% organically produced ingredients. But, in order for a raw or processed agricultural product to be considered 100% organic, all ingredients must be certified organic, all processing aids must be organic, plus the product label must state the name of the certifying agent. That’s why most people consider the USDA Certified Organic label as gold standard.
The bottom line
Organic foods are usually more expensive than non-organic. If you can afford it, that’s fantastic, but it’s not possible for some people. Pregnant women, young children, the elderly and people suffering from allergies or health issues, are the ones that may benefit the most by organic foods. If you can't afford to eat 100% organic, the most important foods to buy organic are the foods you eat daily, like eggs, dairy, meat and produce, while making sure to avoid foods that are listed on the Dirty Dozen list. The Dirty Dozen List can help guide you by giving you a list of produce that is known to contain the highest levels of pesticides, which you would want to avoid consuming to reduce exposure to these toxins.
Remember, eating a partially organic diet is better than not eating organic at all. Just like conventional food, shop around, look for sales or find a brand of organic food that cost less than another. You could also order subscription food boxes of organic food that can save you money in bulk, or buy from local farms that sell organic produce, meat and eggs. Famer's Markets can be another great option to find deals on farm-fresh, high-quality organic foods and organic fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices. If you take the time to search for the best deal, you might find that eating organic is actually in your budget!

Those amazing shampoo bars can turn to mush and will have a short life if you don't take care of them or store them properly. So we're going to tell you everything you need to know about them and give you some professional tips that will help you extend the life of your shampoo bar!
What is a shampoo bar?
While most shampoos come in liquid form, shampoo bars come in a solid form. Shampoo bars are kind of like a bar of soap, but at the same time they're not a bar of soap. Shampoo bars are full of all those good ingredients that cleanse & benefit your hair and scalp, without the water and packed into a concentrated bar of beneficial ingredients. These solid-form shampoos do everything a liquid shampoo can do - they cleanse, add volume and sheen, protect, and moisturize - but they require less plastic. That's a big environmental win!
Those amazing little shampoo bars become activated by water in your shower or bath. When shampoo bars make contact with water they lather up, you then work that lather through your hair like regular shampoo to cleanse without stripping your hair and scalp.
How long do shampoo bars last?
A question we get asked frequently is "how long do shampoo bars last?". The life of your shampoo bar is truly dependent on how long/thick your hair is, how often you wash your hair, how many people in your household are using it and how you store/care for your shampoo bar.
- Don’t store your shampoo bar in a puddle of water, or allow water to drip on the bar between use. Water will wear your shampoo bar down quickly.
- Invest in a good soap dish! Store your shampoo bar on a well-draining soap dish. For example, a dish with plenty of holes.
- Make sure to air dry your shampoo bar between uses!
- You can hang your shampoo bar in a soap saver bag. Soap saver bags are usually made out of hemp or cotton which help dry the bar and will allow you to hang up your shampoo bar between uses.
- Buy a stash of shampoo bars. This way you can alternate between bars, allowing one to dry while you use another. Which is also good if you buy a variety of different bars to switch
- Invest in a wire rack for your shower/bath. A wire rack will allow you to store multiple shampoo & soap bars at once. Make sure to avoid stacking your shampoo bars on top of each other and leave a clean space between them.
- Tin containers can be used to store your dry shampoo bars and are very useful when traveling. Make sure your shampoo bar is completely dry before putting your shampoo bar in a tin.
Here is a great example of an eco-friendly, natural wood, soap dish by Bigheart Soap Company that can be used to keep your soap bars, shampoo bars, and conditioner bars dry helping them last even longer.
Are all shampoo bars created equally?
NO! Not all shampoo bars are created equally! The same goes with conditioner bars AND soap bars. Some shampoo bars are made with yucky synthetic ingredients, but the shampoo bars on Kinilly are all made with natural and/or organic ingredients. Want to know about the detrimental effects that synthetic ingredients have on your health? You can read about that (here) in one of our previous blog posts.
Here is an example of a soap saver bag that can help keep your shampoo bar, condition bar and soap bars lasting longer by keeping them dry. The soap saver bag itself actually doubles as an exfoliator as well:
Are the shampoo bars at Kinilly good for your hair?

There's are a variety of skin care products on the market, some of which are synthetic and some of which are natural. While all of these products claim to have the potential to be beneficial, natural products are definitely the better choice. Were going to talk about the top 5 reasons why natural skin care products are better!
1. Natural products are the safest option.
When compared to synthetic skincare products, natural skincare products are the safest option. Skin care products are applied directly on your skin, and anything applied on the skin has the ability to make its way into your bloodstream. Synthetic skincare products have shown to cause many negative health effects, including cancer. On the other hand, natural skincare products have many wonderful health benefits. By choosing natural skincare products, you are essentially avoiding all those negative health effects that are caused by synthetic ingredients.
2. Natural Products are Better for the Environment.
Synthetic chemicals harm animals, plants and the environment. Synthetic chemicals in skincare products wash down our drains, which eventually seep into the ground and damages surrounding ecosystems. Truly natural skincare products, don't use any synthetic ingredients and they cause no harm to the environment. Think about it... Natural products are made with ingredients that come from the earth. So those natural ingredients are returning back to the environment they originally came from!
3. Natural Products are full of Beneficial Nutrients.
When you look at the ingredient label on a synthetic product, you’ll see words such as Triclosan, Glyceryl Stearate, Dye #4, and Petrolatum. You'll see ingredients that you can't pronounce and it gives no explanation as to what they are. Most times when you can't pronounce an ingredient, that gives no explanation as to what that ingredient is, it most likely means it's synthetic. Synthetic ingredients are made in labs and are known to harm your body.
On the other hand, natural products are filled with familiar-sounding ingredients such as jojoba oil, argan oil, coconut oil, pure essential oils, etc. Sometimes you will see the scientific name of an ingredient, but it will be clearly explained as to what that ingredient is. Natural ingredients are very beneficial for your skin, they have been proven beneficial since ancient times.
4. Natural Products are Cruelty Free.
You'll be shocked to find out how many skincare product manufacturers test their products on animals. Most of those big names in the industry do it, which is detrimental to the animals being tested on. The reason why skincare product manufacturers test on animals is because their products are packed full of synthetic chemicals! They use helpless animals to see what damaging effects a synthetic chemical in their products might have on a human. Natural skincare product manufacturers have no need to test on animals!
5. Natural Products are better for your Skin.
One of the biggest problems with synthetic skin care products is they come with many damaging and negative side effects. Those synthetic ingredients can cause anything from swelling, redness, itching, and chemical burns to a chemical allergic reaction. Synthetic skincare products should be completely avoided since they can seriously damage your skin. Even though you might not see a negative reaction right away, it can cause skin problems later in life. Natural skincare products are the best choice since they don't contain synthetic ingredients that can chemically damage your skin.
Are you comfortable gambling with your health?
The question you need to ask yourself is, are you comfortable gambling with your health? Is it worth potentially harming yourself with a synthetic product when you could just as easily be using a natural product? You don’t want to be that person, decades later, that's suffering from health problems that you could have avoided.

There was a time when many or even most products were American-made. However, since the late 1990's, American manufacturing has been on a steady decline. Many U.S. companies have moved their factories and the jobs they provided – to other countries where labor is cheaper, such as China and Mexico. Go to any retail store, pick up a random item and take a look at the label. Chances are you’ll see "Made in China", "Made in Mexico” or “Made in Taiwan” – very rarely will you see “Made in the USA.”
Consumer Reports conducted a survey that found that about 8 in 10 American consumers said they would rather buy an American-made product than an imported one. And more than 60 percent say they’re even willing to pay 10 percent more for it. For some, the decision might come from a belief in American made product quality and safety, while others believe it’s the best way to support the American economy and American workers.
So if 8 out of 10 Americans would rather buy American Made why do we not see more items that are "Made In The USA"? One of the main reasons companies are manufacturing products in China is the availability of low-cost labor, with the average Chinese worker earning only 75 cents an hour on average.
Increasing the demand for American Made
One thing we can do to ensure more American made products are brought back to our store shelves is to buy more products that are made in the USA. Buying American made products increases the demand for Made in USA products! Companies such as the Made In America Alliance was founded to bring together manufacturers, innovators, business owners, and patriotic supporters across the USA to create a healthier, stronger nation through the support of American businesses. They exist to encourage and facilitate the greater use of products that are Made in America.
Made In America Alliance makes it easy for us to find made in the USA products that are hard to find in our stores. No more going from store to store trying to find what you need. They have an easily searchable database, and you can even narrow the search down by state!
Benefits of Buying American Made Products
1) Choosing American made means you're helping create jobs here for Americans. It supports the local and national economy by helping American families thrive financially, which in turn further stimulates the economy at all levels.
2) Products manufactured here are usually built with higher quality components, which increases the longevity of products. Made in USA is built to last!
3) Many countries have no minimum wage restrictions. When you choose products made in the USA, you contribute to the payment of an honest day's wages for an honest day's work.
4) U.S. companies and manufacturers are held to higher federal and state environmental regulations. When you buy American made, you're helping to keep the world a little cleaner for future generations.
5) Those countries that produce cheap goods have lower product safety standards than what manufacturers are held to in the United States. For example, poisonous levels of lead have been found in millions of toys shipped to the United States. When you buy products made in the USA, you can be confident that American consumer protection laws and safety standards are in place to protect your family.
6) When you purchase American made products, you're supporting American jobs and taxes. The more taxes paid by both consumers via sales tax and employees via income tax means more revenue being sent to the American Government, U.S. Treasury Department, as well as State and Local Governments, all of which help support and improve American Infrastructure.
7) Buying American made products increases the demand for Made in USA products!
Find American Made Products While Shopping Online
These days consumers have a greater opportunity to make educated and informed decisions regarding the brands and products they buy. Additionally, consumers have access to a wealth of information and resources while shopping online. Some online stores have dedicated their eCommerce business models to focus on American Made Products manufactured by American-owned businesses.
The availability of online stores and brick and mortar retailers who focus on American products and services have been on the rise recently. This has opened up a whole new world for consumers allowing them to find products that are made in the USA in practically any industry or product niche you can imagine. One example of one such eCommerce website is Kinilly Natural & Organic Products where you can find a multitude of All-Natural & Organic American-made products, produced by American owned and operated businesses.
In order to protect consumers from "Made in the USA" impostors, the Federal Trade Commission regulates the use of the "Made in the USA" branding through the FTC’s Enforcement Policy Statement on U.S. Origin Claims. This FTC policy ensures that brands do not falsely claim the products they sell are Made in the USA when in fact they are not.
As consumers, it is our right to shop for products and services made with high-quality ingredients or materials with the ability to know exactly where they originated from and exactly where that product is made. Thankfully there are retailers who proudly display this information, as well as stores fully dedicated to exclusively offering American Made Products made in the USA by American Brands, American Businesses by American workers.
Join us on our mission to support American Business by shopping for American Made Products and Services at American owned and operated retail stores. Together we can drive the U.S. economy and increase supply and demand bringing that sense of pride we have in products MADE IN AMERICA.

Choosing the right beard style can be tricky, especially if you’re just starting your beard journey! Your first step is to figure out your facial shape: is it round, oval, square, rectangular/oblong, triangular, or heart-shaped. Based on your facial shape you'll be able to research what beard type & style that will look best for your shape.
When you first start growing a beard, resist the urge to trim it for the first 4-6 weeks. This will allow your hair to grow long enough to pick a style that suits your beards length and thickness.
Now that you've grown out your beard, finding the correct wash, grooming, trimming, shaving and beard care products are key to creating a healthy, professional looking beard.
Beard oil is going to be one of your essential beard care products. Many guys have yet to learn why beard oil is so important, so let's break it down: Without beard oil, your beard will feel dry, crunchy and can become prone to snags and breakage. The best beard oils are based on lightweight carrier oils such as jojoba oil, which is also the oil that most closely mimics our skin’s natural oil. Low cost beard oils usually use heavy carrier oils such as olive oil to help bring costs down, but these thicker oils tend to sit on the surface of the hair rather than get absorbed and can stain your shirt. So opting for cheaper beard oils won't give you the results you're looking for!
Aside from the carrier oils, natural beard oils often contain other natural ingredients to provide pleasing scents. Look for products that use natural essential oils rather than synthetic fragrance oils since you will be applying these products around your mouth and nose. Premium, All-Natural Beard Oils are one of the most underrated of all men's grooming products and can be the essential difference between a healthy, handsome looking beard and a scruffy mess.
Don't wash your beard with shampoo or regular soap, stick with washes that are specifically formulated for beards. Everyone's skin and hair are different, just like all skin and hair care products are different. What works for someone else, might work differently for your skin and beard. Take the time to find the best wash for your beard by experimenting with different brands and washes.
We recommend using separate combs for your beard & mustache to avoid having to wash your comb in-between grooming steps.
For men with very coarse beards, a regular comb will never be able to make it through your curly beard after it gets longer than an inch or two. So an extra wide toothed comb is best.
For your mustache, consider purchasing a comb that specifically made for mustaches, or a compact comb that has fine teeth to encourage proper hair alignment and maximum control.
Hair cutting shears is the best tool for trimming your beard and mustache. DO NOT use regular household scissors as those are not designed to cut hair. Look for a pair of small designed shears with a micro serrated edge, it will help grip the hairs in place so they can be cut accurately. A small design will also give you greater control when trimming your beard as well as your mustache.
A beard trimmer is an extremely useful tool for maintaining short beards. Simply select the guard that corresponds with your desired length, run it through your beard against the grain and you’re all set. It’s also useful in maintaining neck and cheek lines (very carefully!).
Beard Grooming Kits
Grooming kits are awesome! Since most contain all of the essentials needed to care for your beard, it will save you time and money from having to hunt down and buy each individual product. This premium All-Natural Grooming Kit for men includes what every man needs as far as grooming products for part of their daily routine.
In conclusion, there are many essential grooming products for men on the market today. However, not all beard care products work the same. Understanding what each product is used for, why it is important, and knowing how to use them are all important to keeping your beard looking groomed and healthy.

What Kind of Soap is Best For Me?
In general, there are three types of soap, 100% natural handmade soaps, handmade soaps, and commercially made soaps. 100% natural handmade soaps might have a higher price tag, but that’s because they are made with REAL ingredients and offer numerous benefits when it comes to your well-being and health. Today there are very few true soaps on the market. Most mass-produced body cleansers, both liquid and solid, are actually synthetic detergent products! Some of these detergent products are marketed as "soap" but are not true soap according to the regulatory definition of the word. The term "natural" is not regulated and just because a bar of soap is handmade or marketed as natural doesn't mean it's actually 100% natural. So it's important to know where your soap is made and what ingredients it's made with.
What is 100% Natural Handmade Soap?
100% natural handmade soaps are made by carefully blending together butters & plant-based oils that are rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and nutrients. Natural soaps can be enriched with many other essential natural ingredients, such as clays, salts, botanical extracts, and essential oils.
To meet the definition of soap in FDA’s regulations, a product has to meet three conditions:
1. What it’s made of: To be regulated as soap, it must be composed mainly of alkali salts of fatty acids, the material you get when you combine fats or oils with an alkali, such as lye.
2. What ingredients cause its cleaning action: To be regulated as soap, alkali salts of fatty acids must be the only ingredient that results in the product’s cleaning action. If the product contains synthetic detergents, it’s considered a cosmetic, not a soap.
3. How it's intended to be used: To be regulated as soap, it must be labeled and marketed for use as soap. If it's intended to treat or prevent a disease, it’s a drug.
What Are The Benefits Of Using 100% Natural Handmade Soap?
IT'S BETTER FOR YOUR SKIN: Soaps that are manufactured for bulk distribution strip your skin of its necessary oils. Small batch 100% natural handmade soaps that contain only natural ingredients have been shown to improve the skin, not harm it.
IT'S ECO-FRIENDLY: The chemicals in commercially made soaps that are harmful to our bodies are also damaging the earth. Because of vast use in conventional body care, dangerous chemicals are commonly found in rivers, oceans, and lakes. The natural ingredients in 100% pure natural soaps originated from the earth and will not harm it when going back into our rivers, oceans, and lakes.
IT'S BETTER FOR YOUR HEALTH: Soaps manufactured for bulk distribution contain synthetic & artificial ingredients that are bad for your endocrine, reproductive, respiratory, and immune systems. 100% natural artisan crafted soaps that only contain natural ingredients are proven to be the safest option when it comes to your health.
How can you determine if a product is truly natural?
There are a few things you can look for that will help you choose wisely.
Read the ingredient list. Most unfamiliar long scientific sounding words are usually describing heavily processed ingredients or chemicals.
Do your research. If you aren't 100% sure about an ingredient, google it. You will quickly discover if that ingredient is a toxic chemical or a natural ingredient.
Avoid products that contain dyes and fragrances. Companies don’t have to specify what fragrances or dyes are used or if they are full of toxins. The worst offenders are the words “parfum” or “parfume”. look for products that contain natural fragrance or essential oils.
Stay far away from parabens, formaldehyde, dimethicone, dioxins, and pthalates. These toxic chemicals found in skincare and have been linked to all sorts of health issues.

Most pets would rather skip bath time, but bathing plays an important role in the health of your animal's coat and skin, helping to keep your pet clean & free of dirt and parasites. Of course, there’s also the added benefit of making your furbaby even more pleasant to be around.
However, some Pet Shampoo labels are full of tricky, hard to pronounce ingredients making it difficult to know what those ingredients actually are. Those ingredients can be anything from a mild skin irritant or one that’s known to cause cancer. So which pet shampoos should you use to wash your pets and what products should you avoid?
Don't Use Human Shampoo On Your Pet.
If you use human shampoo on your dog or cat, you run the risk of causing inflammation and irritation of your pet’s skin. Irritation and inflammation will make your pet itch more, and it increases your pet’s risk for a bacterial and/or yeast skin infection. Your pet's skin and coat are completely different from your own and require different grooming products.
Can I Use Dish Soap On My Pet?
That would be a strong NO! Please DO NOT use Dish Soap on your pet, ever! Here's why: Dish soap/detergent is made with very strong chemicals that are caustic and harmful, even to humans - one of it’s ‘hidden’ ingredients is formaldehyde! A good quality natural dog shampoo does not contain the harsh chemicals present in household cleaning products and will safely clean, moisturize, and add sheen to your dog’s coats. Dish soap will strip your pet's skin of it's necessary oils, and it contains many chemicals that will harm your pet and the environment.
What Shampoo Should You Use For Your Pet?
A good quality natural pet shampoo that doesn't contain harsh chemicals will safely clean, moisturize, and add sheen to your pet’s coat. When looking for a good natural pet shampoo, always check the label. What are the ingredients? Do you know what each ingredient is? If you're not sure about an ingredient, google it. The ingredients should be easy to read and understand like the one in the photo below.
What if your Pet Has Fleas?
If your pet has fleas, there's no need to use chemical based flea control pet shampoos. Chemical based flea control products contain toxins that are extremely bad for the health of you and your pet. You can read more about those toxins here in this article
. Most natural pet shampoos contain essential oils & oils that naturally repel fleas. For flea-infested pets, you can coat them with coconut oil before bathing and it will immediately kill the fleas.

Can Ticks Transmit a Wide Range of Diseases?
Fact: Some of the most common tick-borne diseases in the United States include: Lyme disease, babesiosis, ehrlichiosis, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, anaplasmosis, Southern Tick-Associated Rash Illness, Tick-Borne Relapsing Fever, and tularemia. Other tick-borne diseases in the United States include: Colorado tick fever, Powassan encephalitis, and Q fever. Lyme disease is the most commonly reported tick-borne disease in the United States. In 2010, more than 22,500 confirmed and 7,500 probable cases of Lyme disease were reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Then in 2018, state and local health departments reported 47,743 cases of tickborne disease to the CDC.
What is Lyme Disease?
Lyme disease is caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi. It's transmitted through the bite of an infected black-legged tick. Symptoms of Lyme disease include fever, headache, fatigue, and skin rash. If left untreated, the infection has the ability to spread to your joints, heart, and nervous system. If a tick is attached to your skin for less than 24 hours, your chance of getting Lyme disease is extremely small. So it's very important to check yourself for ticks daily and immediately after spending time outdoors.
Lyme disease is diagnosed based on your symptoms, physical findings like a rash, and the possibility of your exposure to infected ticks. But YOU can take the necessary steps to prevent Lyme disease by using insect repellent, removing ticks promptly, applying yard sprays, and reducing tick habitat.
How Can You Protect Yourself from Tick Bites?
Know where to expect ticks. Blacklegged ticks (the ticks that cause Lyme disease) live in moist and humid environments and near wooded & grassy areas. You can check to see how severe the flea & tick activity is in your state with this weekly updated map. But you should always protect yourself, family, and pets even if fleas and ticks are currently not severe in your area.
Repel ticks on skin and clothing. Products containing DEET, pesticides, and chemicals do more harm than good. A good all-natural insect repellent has the ability to work just as well, if not better as the products that contain toxic chemicals. Some of the best products on earth originated from a serious need. I'm N.O.T. Gonna Get Ticked was born from such a need and is nothing short of amazing. While witnessing her husband's and daughter's battle with Lyme disease, and with years of professional skincare experience, she immediately got to work and created a complete line of highly efficient bug repelling products.
The Orginal Tick Spray formula is highly efficient and works extremely well at repelling a wide range of biting insects such as mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas. The Cedar Tick Spray formula has a stronger scent which may not be for everyone, however, it was designed to be longer-lasting and does so with even greater efficiency, making it perfect for those who have to spend a lot of time outdoors. We know this because at Kinilly we thoroughly test the products we sell. These all-natural products were tested for quality and effectiveness at the Kinilly Farm in Florida and thus, we can confirm that these insect repellents really work! It's not only safe for humans, it's safe for dogs, cats, and horses too!
Treat your yard for ticks, fleas, and bugs. There are many yard sprays on the market, but it's important to find one that's completely natural and safe to use around your family and pets. We recommend using this proven effective All-Natural Yard & Garden Spray.
Perform Daily Tick Checks!
You should always check your entire body for ticks after spending time outdoors. Use a hand-held or full-length mirror to view all parts of your body and remove any ticks you find. Make sure to check common places they like to attach: behind knees, underarm, scalp, navel, groin, buttocks, back. Don't forget to check your kids and pets for ticks too!
Dress Appropriately When Going Outdoors!
When going outdoors wear light-colored long pants, long-sleeved shirts, and closely knitted socks. Tuck your shirt into your pants and tuck your pants into your socks. This will help prevent a tick from crawling under your clothing! For added protection under your clothing & on exposed skin, a tick repelling lotion will help deter them. Our go-to bug repellent lotion is All-Natural Insect Repelling Lotion.
Dogs Can Get Lyme Disease Too!
Just like us, dogs can develop Lyme Disease from the bite of a black-legged tick. Once sick, dogs will show signs of fever and lameness in one or more joints. They might also exhibit sluggishness and swollen lymph nodes. You can protect your dogs from ticks and other bugs by using a natural bug repellent, like Nature's Way Insect Spray, before you let them play outdoors. When applying repellents on dogs, don't forget about their legs, paws, tail, and belly area. Another good tick repellent that's safe for pets & livestock is All Natural Livestock Spray by NOT Enterprises.
So the best ways to protect yourself from ticks are to use a good natural tick repellent lotion, dress appropriately and then top it off with a good natural tick repellent spray! Don't forget the tick & bug repellent for your pets, and double-check yourself, your family, and your pets for ticks when you go back inside!

On Memorial Day, we often reflect on history...
The team at Kinilly | Natural & Organic Products knows that our brave men and women of the U.S. Armed forces have helped to provide the freedoms and liberties we hold so dear. We thank them and reflect on the impact they have had in shaping our country while fighting to protect and serve us. These very things helped to inspire Kinilly to grow from a spark of an idea to what it is today...
One of the many influences in the lives of the team here at Kinilly is Mr. J.I. Rodale. During World War II, the American economy was greatly impacted. During that time, there was a serious shortage of nitrogen fertilizer (which was used to make military munitions). It was at that time that a young J.I. Rodale set out find a solution. While soldiers charged into battle, J.I. Rodale invested the remainder of his life dedicated to research and development of Organic Farming practices.
Due to the impact that WWII had on the world, while U.S. armed forces and our allies fought overseas for freedom, J.I Rodale was inspired to take action on the homefront, here on, and in, American Soil.
J.I. Rodale quickly noticed the many problems that traditional, chemical-based farming was causing on the nation's soil - such as depleted of nutrients, poor overall soil health, and he noticed the impact this was having on the health of Americans. Just like any true American, when J.I. Rodale saw a problem, he wanted to find a solution.
In 1947, Mr. Rodale founded the Soil & Health Foundation (which later became the infamous Rodale Institute). J.I. Rodale researched and lectured on the importance of organic, nutrient-rich, contaminant-free soil. This was the birth/re-birth, so-to-speak, of modern/traditional Organic Farming best practices.
Not one to sit in the shadows when it comes to healthy soil and organic farming topics, J.I. Rodale published a number of very important books as well...
One book, in particular, entitled "Encyclopedia of Organic Gardening" (published in 1959), and another entitled "Pay Dirt" (published in 1948) were way ahead of their time. "Pay Dirt" was written about the links between declining public health and chemical-based agricultural practices. These very books were discovered by one of Kinilly's co-founders, David King II, many years ago while visiting the private library of famous Silent Western Film actor William S. Hart's mansion (now known as the William S. Hart Museum) in his hometown of Santa Clarita, CA USA. [Who was William S. Hart?]
It is interesting to note, that during a museum tour Mr. King was given permission to remove books from the bookshelves, sit in the parlor and read them (providing he did not damage them and promptly returned them, exactly where they were). It goes without saying, that "Encyclopedia of Organic Gardening" was one of the first books picked up and read that very moment, which led him to discover "Pay Dirt". Intrigued by the words "Farming & Gardening with Compost", and seeing the words "organic" and "soil conditioning" and such, being written about so passionately in the 1940's and 50's was eye-opening, to Mr. King, to say the least.
The 1948 publication of Rodale’s Pay Dirt, (the book which links chemical agriculture to declining public health), pushed J.I. Rodale to head a movement towards advancements in Organic Farming. He later went on to show how Organic Farming beats Chemical Farming hands down. This was later proven by family at his Rodale Institute time and time again who did a 30-year study featuring a side by side comparison of Commercial/Chemical Agro-farming vs. Organic Farming and you know what? The Rodale Institute carried on with the legacy of J.I. Rodale by proving time and time again that Organic Farming is by far the best way to go for a multitude of reasons.
It is things such as this that inspire Kinilly Natural & Organic Products. While we pay homage to the men and women who have fought and those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country, we are reminded of the things that drove these men and women to serve this great country of ours. To preserve our way of life, our traditions, our people, and our country.
We are forever grateful and we will never stop being inspired and doing our part to carry on... fighting for pure, natural, organic products and protecting our planet for future generations. At Kinilly we owe it to all those who served to do our part to protect these things as well... and that starts with preserving the soil, eliminating harmful chemicals, making educated consumer choices, and providing all-natural and organic products. And frankly, we feel that if we commit to that, then we can also commit to sourcing the best quality consumer products that are made in the USA too.
Who would of thought that an old silent American Western Film Star from the 1920's would have had a private library of books which led one of our founders down a path of all-natural and organic living.? Furthermore, who would have thought that this journey ultimately ended up leading him to form his partnership with Kristy Lynn Sill to create one of the Internet's leading Natural & Organic Products websites?

According to the Center for Disease Control, there is currently no vaccine to prevent the Novel Coronavirus; however, there are ways to help protect yourself from this virus and avoid exposure and to practice preemptive actions to prevent the spread of germs, viruses, and bacteria. Below is a list of natural ways to protect yourself from the Corona Virus.
How To Protect Yourself From Viruses, Bacteria & Germs During A Pandemic:
1. Be vigilant in public places.
When you are in public, be vigilant of using public items like water fountains, handrails, doorknobs, gas station pumps, ATM's and keypads!
2. Wash your hands & practice good hygiene.
Proper hygiene is essential to the prevention of germs, viruses, and pathogens. It is important to wash your hands after touching any public surfaces before you eat, take vitamins, and also BEFORE and AFTER you use the restroom. If out in public and have no way of being able to wash your hands, you can use hand sanitizer as the next best thing. You can find natural hand sanitizer recipes online that use alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, distilled water & essential oils. Just make sure that it has a base of at least 60% alcohol to destroy the Coronavirus. Washing your hands and using hand sanitizer can leave your hands dry & cracked. Open wounds on your hands make you more vulnerable to viruses & bacteria. Make sure to keep your hands hydrated & moisturized by using a natural moisturizer that doesn't contain toxic chemicals.
You should also brush your teeth 3 times a day, and rinsing your mouth out with a good mouth rinse. You can find online recipes to make your own mouth rinse that contain germ-killing medicinal oils like oil of oregano & peppermint oil. Make sure to read the directions carefully and research as to what's the best essential oils to kill germs.
3. Shower immediately after returning home.
Take your shoes off BEFORE you enter your home. When you get inside don't sit down or interact with other family members, you should immediately take a shower before anything else. Remove your clothing and put it into a bag to be washed, then get into the shower. Since soap & water are known to wash away germs, it's important to take these steps when returning home. If your not able to wash your clothes on a daily basis, hang your clothing in the sun to deactivate any viruses you may have come into contact with.
4. Don’t touch your face, eyes or mouth.
Germs can stay on your fingertips and hands hours after being exposed to certain viruses and pathogens. So avoid rubbing your eyes, nose, and face without washing your hands first. Also, avoid shaking hands or kissing others right now.
5. Use natural remedies to clean the air.
A majority of essential oils have antiviral, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial properties. Using essential oils in an oil diffuser such as lemon and eucalyptus can destroy the active cells of airborne viruses, dust particles, harmful bacteria, and antigens once coming into contact with them. They also provide a natural clean scent instead of using toxic chemical aerosol sprays that can weaken your immune system. You can also use Himalayan salt lamps & pure beeswax candles to naturally clean & detoxify the air in your home.
6. Don’t share personal items.
Keep your personal items to yourself! Don't share items such as hairbrushes, make-up items, or toiletries. Don't share foods, utensils, or reach your hands into bags of food like chips or cereal. When eating foods like chips or cereal that is shared with the entire family, you should pour it on a plate or into a bowl.
7. Eat Foods that help boost your immune system.
Our first line of defense, of course, is the immune system. It needs to be prepared and ready to fight as it comes in contact with this highly opportunistic pathogen. Eat healthy and fresh foods. Stay away from unhealthy foods right now. For example, greasy foods, fried foods, fast foods, cookies/pastries or candy, that’s not what you want right now. Organic food consumption reduces your exposure to detectable pesticides by 30%. So, when trying to keep your immune system healthy, stick with organic foods if possible. You should also be taking vitamins daily, as they are very important to help build immunity against viruses. Here is a list of foods that are good for boosting the immune system:
- Citrus Fruits
- Red Bell Peppers
- Green Tea
- Sunflower Seeds
8. Stay Hydrated.
The lungs require moisture and a healthy layer of mucus to function at their best.
One of the symptoms of Covid-19 is a dry cough, possibly due to inflammation that is burning up internal fluids. 68% of people afflicted with this virus have presented with a dry cough. Your body needs moisture and fluids to carry immune cells and to create the life-saving mucus that naturally lines your lungs and digestive system. That means this is NOT the time for coffee or other highly caffeinated diuretics. It would be much wiser to sip on warm or room temperature water throughout your day, at least 6-8 glasses.
Even if you practice all of these methods, it's still a possibility that you may come into contact with Coronavirus and there are many factors that can come into play where you can possibly get sick. At that point, call your doctor or your local health department and they will advise you as to where to go from there. Remember, if you get sick you need to STAY HOME and self isolate away from ALL family members.

What Is Eco-Friendly?
It seems like everyone is using the term Eco-Friendly nowadays. But what does Eco-Friendly actually mean? The easiest way to put it is that it is something that is earth-friendly, or not harmful to the environment. So whether you're looking to adopt an Eco-Friendly lifestyle or just switch out a few products for Eco-Friendly products, we've got you covered! Here are some products you have that probably aren't Eco-Friendly, and give you alternatives to the most popular Eco-Friendly products that you won't find at the big brand stores.
Eco-Friendly Dishwasher Soap
Most dishwasher soaps are NOT Eco-Friendly! They contain harsh chemicals that are not good for the environment or your health. When shopping for dishwasher soap avoid products that contain the list of ingredients below. look for dishwasher soap that contains 100% natural ingredients, and that also comes in Eco-Friendly packaging.
Ingredients of highest concern:
Cocamide DEA: Concerns include cancer, chronic aquatic toxicity, acute aquatic toxicity.
DMDM Hydantoin: Concerns include chemical release (formaldehyde in this case), and irritation of the skin, eyes, or lungs.
Ethanolamine: Concerns include respiratory effects, general systemic/organ effects, chronic aquatic toxicity, nervous system effects, skin irritation/allergies/damage.
Formaldehyde: Concerns include cancer, general systemic/organ effects, respiratory effects, skin irritation/allergies/damage, acute aquatic toxicity.
Sodium Borate: Concerns include developmental/endocrine/reproductive effects, skin irritation/allergies/damage, respiratory effects.
Sulfuric Acid: Concerns include cancer, respiratory effects, skin irritation/allergies/damage.
Triclosan: Concerns include chronic aquatic toxicity, acute aquatic toxicity, general ecotoxicity, developmental/endocrine/reproductive effects, cancer, immune system effects, circulatory system effects, general systemic/organ effects, nervous system effects, skin irritation/allergies/damage, digestive system effects, damage to vision. Good times!
We think Kinilly has the best Eco-Friendly & all-natural dishwashing soap! This Handcrafted All Natural Dishwasher Soap comes in 1lb bag and lasts for a long time. For a standard load, you will only need about 1 tbs. For an extra cleaning boost, you can add white vinegar as a rinse aid. You are guaranteed to love the way your dishes shine with this mix. This is what we use in our home and we love it!
Eco-Friendly Household Cleaners
Many household cleaners have chemicals that are harmful to humans, animals, and plants. When you use these chemicals to clean your toilets, sinks, dishwashers or other appliances, the chemicals are then rinsed down the drain. The water then heads to your wastewater treatment facilities, where they try to remove the majority of contaminants before the water makes its way back to the rivers and lakes. However, not all the contaminants from these chemical products are removed. Over time, they can build up to have a substantially negative effect on wildlife. Some compounds actually accelerate plant growth, which can lead to dense vegetation that interferes with animal life and eventually decays in equally massive quantities.
So switching to Eco-Friendly cleaning products are a must! When you're shopping for Eco-Friendly Household Cleaners, look for products that have 100% natural ingredients & come in Eco-Friendly packaging. Read every label to verify that you are buying something that is actually 100% natural. There has been some big brands that have been doing what is called "Greenwashing". Greenwashing is the process of conveying a false impression or providing misleading information about how a company's products are more environmentally sound. Greenwashing is considered an unsubstantiated claim to deceive consumers into believing that a company's products are environmentally friendly. So if you don't see a list of ingredients on the label, it is better to be safe than sorry. Most products that are truly green, will list off all of its ingredients on the label.
A good Natural All-Purpose Cleaner that we like is this All Natural Multipurpose Cleaner. Or if you would rather buy a complete set of natural household cleaners, Amazon has this Natural and Organic Household Cleaner and Hypoallergenic Soap set that we really like and highly recommend. Puracy Natural Home Cleaning Set (5-Pack).
Eco-Friendly Shopping Bags
It is pretty much talked about everywhere that the use of plastic shopping bags is bad for the environment. In fact, many cities are banning single-use plastics like shopping bags & straws. Plastic shopping bags pollute our oceans & lands, which end up killing marine & wildlife. So buying reusable shopping bags are a really good way to help the environment!
So, ditch the plastic and pack your goodies in this spacious Organic Cotton Tote Bag. Fill it up with groceries, books, and travel essentials—there’s room for everything in this large size Eco-Friendly Organic Cotton Tote Bag! Plus, this "Save The Planet Go Organic" reusable shopping bag is made using 100% Organic Cotton!
Eco-Friendly Skin & Hair Care
Most store-bought lotions, shampoos, conditioners & body washes usually come in plastic containers. If you're deciding to go Eco-Friendly, plastic-free lotion bars, shampoo bars & soaps are the way to go. Just make sure that the products you are buying are nontoxic & chemical-free. Because those chemicals are bad for the environment. Like this Lemon Poppy Seed Exfoliating Soap Bar that only contains natural & organic ingredients. Or this Organic Stretch Mark Body Butter that comes in an Eco-Friendly reusable metal tin.
Eco-Friendly Laundry Detergent
Just like household cleaners, most laundry soaps are NOT Eco-Friendly. You must always read the labels and check its ingredients. Finding a true Eco-Friendly Laundry Soap is hard, but there are a few out there! This Eco-Friendly Laundry Soap is made from Cocoboo soap berries that are handpicked and sun dried. It produces a soap called saponin, which operates as a natural surfactant. Cocoboo 100% USDA Certified Organic Soap Nuts (Chemical Free, 240+ Loads, Handpicked & Sun Dried, Hypoallergenic Laundry Soap, with wash Bag). Another Eco-Friendly option is this organic stain remover stick that can remove most common stains like grease, oil, and ketchup. The best part about this stick is that will last you a very long time!

There are many people that swear by All-Natural & Organic Hair Care Products. For the longest time, I didn’t understand what all the hype was about. When I started doing my research & then started using All-Natural & Organic Products, it all started making complete sense to me. Not only could I see and feel the difference, but others were also starting to notice too! I discovered that using All-Natural & Organic Hair Products actually does promote longer, stronger, softer, & best of all healthier hair.
Here are the 5 benefits I learned from using All-Natural & Organic Hair Products:
1. NO HARSH INGREDIENTS
This is probably the most obvious (and best) reason for using All-Natural & Organic Hair Care Products. In fact, they often utilize ingredients you can find in your own kitchen cabinet. They aren’t difficult to pronounce, and the products may even offer a brief description of any ingredient that may appear suspect at first glance. A lot of harsh ingredients are not only bad for your hair, but also your health, so using All-Natural & Organic Products significantly lessen the likelihood of Toxin Overload. You can read more about Toxin Overload here: Toxin Overload - 12 Signs Your Body May Be Overloaded With Toxins.
2. SAFE FOR COLOR-TREATED OR DAMAGED HAIR
Hair that is color-treated, heat-damaged, or Chemically Damaged will Benefit the most from All-Natural & Organic Hair Care Products. Natural & Organic products won’t exacerbate any damage that already exists. Instead, they will provide a safe environment for your hair to thrive while you nurse it back to health. Since colored tresses are by definition more fragile, an All-Natural hair care regimen will prove beneficial in protecting them from any harm that would hinder them from remaining healthy.
This Handcrafted Natural Argan Shampoo Bar not only cleanses, but also nourishes and softens as you lather. It’s crafted with hair-loving ingredients, turning an ordinary routine into an indulgent experience, and leaving your hair nourished and naturally beautiful!
3. STRENGTHENS HAIR
All-natural haircare products have the unique ability to strengthen your hair from the inside out. Our hair is organic and needs nourishment the same way our bodies need food in order to stay vibrant and vitalized. Natural Hair products go directly on the scalp and then into the hair shaft, which will strengthen your hair and promote growth. For those of you who are already losing your hair, it will reduce the rate at which strands begin falling off.
The ingredients in this All Natural Hair Conditioner are pretty amazing. This fabulous formula, with rich hydrating and smoothing properties, is infused with soothing organic lavender and calming chamomile too, with super moisture-boosting rosehip oil, and nourishing pro-vitamin B5, which all help to keep hair silky smooth, full and shiny.
4. DECREASES SPLIT ENDS
A lot of styling products claim to be moisturizing and protecting. But many of them contain bad alcohols & chemicals that dry your hair out, resulting in split ends and broken hair. Natural Hair Products give your hair all of the good ingredients and none of the yucky ones. It moisturizes your hair, resulting in less breakage. This Chemical-Free Organic Hair Wax is a product that I highly recommend for anyone that uses hair wax. It truly is an amazing product!
5. PROMOTES SHINE
Have you ever noticed the shine that many chemical based hair products yield? And as soon as you wash your hair again, your hair goes right back to square one, right? That’s because many mainstream hair care lines use silicone in their Hair Care Products. Silicone is used in household, auto, industrial, & medical supplies, like adhesives and sealants. You don’t really want to use a Hair Product made with the same ingredient as tire protectant and furniture polish do you? All-Natural Hair Products will bring out your hair’s natural shine, and will naturally enhance your curls and hair texture.
If you’ve never really used All-Natural & Organic Hair Care Products, I highly encourage you to go “all-natural” for a month, or even a week, and decide for yourself if you notice a difference. From our personal and professional experience, it is almost guaranteed that you will see and feel a noticeable difference in the overall health of your hair and scalp. We know you won’t be disappointed when switching to high-quality natural and organic hair care products!
